Taken far FAR longer than it should have done due to tablet issues but the reference sheet is done. God the anatomy is awful, I need to SERIOUSLY work on it. But at least now there's something I can throw at people who ask. Feel free to ask questions on any of the badly photoshopped text info :)

Part of a reference sheet I'm working on. But they look bloody good so why not have them separate. There is a reason the Jackdaw is more washed out (Isn't an albino, well it coulda been, no idea) and the left is a male European Kestrel :) The Jackdaw was done yesterday.

Notalope Reference by Feather Dancer

Lope. Lope. Lope. This is the fully up to date Notalope including very badly done tiger stripes. The fur on his back is still a little bleached but it's another mess I'm in no mind to fix... Yes they are rabbit ears and antlers, it is a realative of the Jackalope twice removed and replaced with a watermelon after all some heritage is still in there :D There was a few parts that has taken me an age (The reason it's so sketchy is because it was supposed to be a fast colour thing but no I had to get the anatomy workable didn't I...), namely meshing the wing, collar bone and shoulder correctly which is a heavy mix of Giraffe, Boar and bird currently. Another was the middle section for some mysterious reason. However the hardest was the colours, it has never occured to me a single time what colour a lope is, hopefully these suffice.

Contest entry all done and done though coulda been better. Not much you can do with pressing deadlines, computer problems and saves going missing :) The Shi'Rah race belongs to Moonfeather of DA. This image also won 1st place in the Naming section.

Notalope Chimera by Feather Dancer

The Notalope, a strange creature related to the Jackalope, fourth cousin twice removed replaced with a watermelon. They have crocodile snouts with pig heads, rabbit ears and roe deer antlers. This is on top of the horse, fox, ruffed lemur, parakeet, giraffe and roo that's also in there. Yes it is fishing with a pineapple. Whatever else would you fish with, bait? Honestly people! I learnt from this image, I seriously need to work on making hips and antlers decent, they go wonky on me :D The sketchiness was delibrate as the contest this was entered for is not looking for art quality which is good went your computer dies severing your time to finish :) This image got a rather respectable 2nd place.
